Holland Water Challenge
Over hundreds of years, the Netherlands built a world-class reputation in delta and water management. Taking its global leadership into the future and strengthening its international position, it embraces a vision in which economic achievement, environmental sustainability and social responsibility go hand-in-hand. Sharing of knowledge and reaching-out to future generations around the world is at the very heart of this vision.
The Challenge
The Holland Water Challenge is a competition that inspires international young water talent to take an active role in finding innovative and sustainable solutions to real-life delta and water problems. In a unique way, the Holland Water Challenge unlocks knowledge and talent to the benefit of all its stakeholders: participating companies, aspiring young people as well as local universities and governments.
Global Connections
Since 2010, the Holland Water Challenge expanded to connect over 40 companies, research institutions and universities worldwide. More than 150 ambitious graduate students and young researchers participated. Together, they proposed almost 50 new ideas to address important delta and water challenges.
Building a Global Community
With each edition of the Holland Water Challenge, the community of young international water students and researchers is growing. For them, we created an online platform, called BlueSpring. BlueSpring gives them a place to connect with peers around the world, learn about education and career opportunities, create their own interest groups and interact with professional experts.
Join the Challenge
Joining the Holland Water Challenge means joining a growing, vibrant platform of leading delta and water companies and institutions. They work together to attract young talent, exchange knowledge, build international university relationships and promote sustainable water solutions.
